5 - Welcome Aboard Mx

Welcome to Gay Travel Today! I’m Teraj and I’ll be your guide as we explore, engage and indulge in the world of LGBTQ+ travel today.

When booking airline tickets, most passengers are still required to specify and choose their gender, but this is slowly changing. Not too long ago in 2018, both the International Air Transport Association and Airlines for America approved amendments for booking procedures to allow for additional options for non-binary passengers. Paving the way forward, there are a few airlines in both the US and Europe that are allowing customers to identify as something other than ‘male’ or ‘female’ when booking. To take advantage of these changes within airline travel and booking procedures, you’ll need to have a gender-neutral passport or travel document. There are around a dozen US states that are now offering non-binary or ‘X’ markers on driver licenses and state ID’s. Canada’s own, Porter Airlines claims to have been the first to introduce booking options for non-binary people; while Air Italy became the first in Europe to offer a third gender option; and in March 2019, United Airlines was the first in the US to offer an ‘X’ option for those not wanting to mark themselves as ‘male’ or ‘female’ while booking travel arrangements. It also added Mx to its drop-down menu of prefixes. Have any of you out there ever booked a non-binary flight? If so, we’d love to hear about your experience on social media, so share it and #GayTravelToday and also #Sagitravel.

4 - PDA Preferences Among Lesbians

Let’s talk PDA. According to GayCities.com, almost half of all lesbians feel that the most important factor in choosing a travel destination is whether or not they’ll feel comfortable holding their partner’s hand in public. And, I’m pretty sure that so many of us from the LGBTQ+ community, as a whole, feels the same way; as it’s always better to feel like we’re being celebrated instead of just tolerated. What’s your favorite LGBTQ+ friendly city where you were able to hold your partner’s hand in complete comfort? We’d love to see some photos on social media, so share it and #GayTravelToday and also #Sagitravel.

3 - Show Your Pride

Welcome to Gay Travel Today! I’m Teraj and I’ll be your guide as we explore, engage and indulge in the world of LGBTQ+ travel today.

I want to give a big hello to all the fellow travel enthusiasts out there and I’m excited to be your host over the next couple of months with my friends at Sagitravel. Just to give you a little bit of background about myself, I was born and raised in Miami, Florida and now I live in the heart of Hell’s Kitchen in New York where I launched my career as a Pop and R&B recording artist, model, and actor. What I love most about my career is that I’ve been blessed and fortunate to travel the world and I look forward to sharing inspiration and motivation with my LGBTQ community for these flash briefings for Gay Travel Today. You know, if I had to choose one final destination before I died, I’d choose a countrywide excursion across Japan. What would you choose as your ultimate final destination? We’d love to see some photos on social media, so share it and #GayTravelToday and also #Sagitravel.
