21 - Unlimited Sail Pass With Virtual Cruises

Welcome to Gay Travel Today! I’m Teraj and I’ll be your guide as we explore, engage and indulge in the world of LGBTQ+ travel today.

Back in April, the CDC announced that it would push its “no sail” order for another 100 days – or until the pandemic ends. Despite not being able to board ships at US ports, there’s a number of cruise lines offering everything short of the sail and crisp, cruise breeze. Carnival Cruise line, Crystal Cruises, Royal Caribbean and Lindblad Expedition have all jumped on the virtual bandwagon, providing passengers with explorations into different places, live music lounges, guest speakers, cocktail recipes and game competitions. If you’re onboard with giving this a try, let us know when you do by hashtagging #GayTravelToday and also #Sagitravel.

18 - Will You Pick The Janus Seat?

Welcome to Gay Travel Today! I’m Teraj and I’ll be your guide as we explore, engage and indulge in the world of LGBTQ+ travel today.

Air travel is bound to change in a number of ways following COVID-19, but many popular airliners are currently looking for new ways to improve travel and hygiene during the age of social distancing. Designers, Aviointeriors, developed two seating designs to keep passengers at a safe distance without taking up more space onboard. One of these styles, named the “Janus Seat,” would have a row of three passengers with the middle passenger facing backward and each seat would be fitted with transparent dividers. The other style called the “Glassafe Seat” would be a variation of the Janus Seat’s transparent dividers, but in this case, all passengers will face the same direction. We’d love to hear your thoughts on these new airplane seating arrangements, so be sure to share them with us on social media by hashtagging #GayTravelToday and also #Sagitravel.
