Welcome to Gay Travel Today! I’m Teraj and I’ll be your guide as we explore, engage and indulge in the world of LGBTQ+ travel today.
Key West has always been known for being a Pride hub, but in honoring equality and celebrating diversity, the conch republic decided to paint several of its crosswalks with rainbows. The crosswalks at the intersection of Duval and Petronia street are now sporting a bright kaleidoscope of colors, and it will for some time since the paint is designed to withstand heavy traffic by foot and automobile, guaranteeing lasting LGBTQ+ Pride for years to come. Just as Key West mayor, Teri Johnston, said, “The rainbow crosswalks mean that everybody is welcome, everybody is equal, everybody is recognized, and that we do really abide by the ‘One Human Family’ spirit. Everybody is a part of Key West.” We love to see it! What is your favorite experience in Key West? Let us know by using the #GayTravelToday and #Sagitravel hashtags.
