We are coming up on the month of June, and you know what that means? Celebrating Pride will shift into high gear! Although the current state of the coronavirus pandemic has presented many obstacles, it hasn’t stopped the LGBTQ+ community from coming up with alternatives to go all out – even in the age of social distancing. Some of these pride events include “Global Pride,” which organizers are currently facilitating to stream across social media and other online platforms to show solidarity, strength and community during a time that we need it most. Other Pride month events include the virtual Queer Liberation March. Although the details of this are still in the works, one thing is for certain – coronavirus is not going to stop us from celebrating Pride! Which virtual event do you plan to join?
