Welcome to Gay Travel Today! I’m Teraj and I’ll be your guide as we explore, engage and indulge in the world of LGBTQ+ travel today.
The LGBTQ+ community has proven to be avid travelers, however the recent health pandemic has complicated this rising trend, and has caused more anxiety around travel. To evaluate what travel may look like for the LGBTQ+ community post-COVID-19, a recent Harris Poll asked some hard-hitting questions. The survey reported that 64% of respondents felt comfortable traveling domestically in the U.S., while 35% felt comfortable traveling internationally to Europe and 31% felt comfortable taking a cruise. These percentages were far lower when compared to non-LGBT people and to previous benchmarks from LGBTQ+ populations. This is a reflection of just how uncertain or confused many of us feel about balancing our travel desires with staying safe and healthy. What does the future of LGBTQ travel look like to you?
