Welcome to Gay Travel Today! I’m Teraj and I’ll be your guide as we explore, engage and indulge in the world of LGBTQ+ travel today.
Vermont may not be the first state that screams “gayborhood,” but the Champlain Islands have been providing an inclusive space for the LGBTQ+ community to kick-back and relax across stretches of beaches, waters and trails. In need of a seabound adventure? Cascade across the waters on the Driftwood Tour, which sails you directly to Burton Island State Park. Here, you can soak in some rays near the beach and grab a picnic table to have a lunch waterside. Or maybe get your art and caffeine fix at Green Tara, which features art by local, queer artists and delicious tea and coffee beverages. Get in touch with nature by riding and biking along the trails of Sandbar State Park, which has a beautiful sunset view similar to a George Surrat painting. On your way back, look out for a mythical sea monster, Champ, who is lored to be living in the deep. Have you been to the Champlain Islands?
