Welcome to Gay Travel Today! I’m Teraj and I’ll be your guide as we explore, engage and indulge in the world of LGBTQ+ travel today.
Theme parks, like Disney, slowly opened up last month and people are noticing that hitting up these destinations for rides, meet-and-greets and shows are just not the same. Here are some key takeaways people are noting when entering their theme parks now versus pre-COVID-19 days. First, despite many rides being in operation, a good number of food kiosks, gift shops and restaurants are now closed. Many of the parades, firework displays and other shows have stopped indefinitely to reduce the potential for crowding and COVID-19 spread. Face masks are also being required at all times, with bandanas and neck gaiters not being deemed as acceptable face coverings, in addition to sanitizing before and after rides. Temperature checks are also a must before entering the theme park. If you’ve never been to Disney before, many are saying to hold off for now, but if you are a Disney enthusiast you may enjoy your experience. Have you been to a theme park post-COVID-19?
